Weiner: Campaign isn’t about me

After falling to fourth place in most polls for his New York City mayoral bid, Anthony Weiner is pushing back with a new campaign ad. The candidate lost popularity last week after it had been revealed that he continued his sexting shenanigans after his 2011 resignation from Congress.

Check out his latest ad here:

In the ad, Weiner claims, “(The campaign) is not about me… (when) someone comes out with something embarassing in your private life, you’ve gotta talk about that for a little while” And generally, he informs us that he won’t be quitting the Mayoral race even though “politicians and news paper editors” would like him to.

And while those statements are valid. Weiner seems to be claiming that his personal life and the scandal surrounding his life is nothing more than a distraction to the campaign. In reality, Anthony Weiner is the distraction. He has brought all of this upon himself by continuing his compulsive behavior. And while he did say that more sexual pictures of himself could potentially surface, it was understood that they took place before his resignation from Congress.

At the end of the day, I don’t care what Anthony Weiner does in his personal life. The only reason I bring this up is simply: Anthony Weiner is the gift that keeps on giving. His compulsive lying is on par with entertainment value as the scandals he lies about.
